Our performance evaluation methodology has been developed from established benchmarking theory and practices, which we have adapted and extended for eCommerce.

The goal of benchmarking is to improve your business performance, via the medium of comparative analysis. All business can be benchmarked as can all processes within businesses, driving managers to recognise internal roadblocks which are preventing their businesses from growing beyond current expectations, by providing external evidence of actual achievement from competitors or world-class performance in adjacent businesses or sectors.

As a managerial discipline, performance evaluation can shock organisations out of their internal obsessions and confront them with the real world. Recognising that growth need not be incremental – that entire step-changes are not only possible but may be necessary to stay competitive – can provide the jolt that every organisation needs from time-to-time, particularly if they have been successful, have a worthy heritage or are dominant in their field.
