About Benchmarking

How to work with us

Firstly, you must be prepared to supply sufficient data, in time, to make you a member of the peer group. This is unlikely to be a major trial; we acknowledge that each organisation will have its data short-falls and we aim to collect data each peer group member should need to know, therefore requiring little by way of original research. Also, our consultants will assist you to understand the data requirement and meet the deadlines.

Secondly, you must prioritise your participation in the benchmark. The deadlines are serious and the success and timeliness of the work depends on each peer group member respecting the timetable and quality of the data supplied. Again, our current clients do not find this onerous: they estimate between four – six person days to complete all of the data necessary for the two benchmarks per year.

Thirdly, bring your senior colleagues face-to-face with the results. The organisations that have made the greatest gains ensure wide distribution and senior level representation at the workshop.

Fourthly, act on the results. Only you can do this. We are happy to provide mid-benchmark updates or 'mine' the data further to test an hypothesis, or to produce eUser Ratings of proposed new processes. But ultimately, driving change is up to you.
